What is Emotional Freedom Technique? It is a simple tapping technique based on meridian therapies such as acupressure and acupuncture. Using fingertips, the therapist models and teaches the client to tap on certain pressure points on their body. It is a non-invasive procedure that doesn’t use needles, but gentle tapping with the clients own finger tips on certain meridian energy points. It is part of the overall group of therapies known as Energy Psychology and is often referred to as Meridian or Tapping Techniques.
Anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, phobias, grief, addictive cravings, weight loss, chronic pain, headaches, body pains, anger and other issues are addressed through the use of EFT. It can be used in conjunction with art therapy, or as a separate healing technique.
EFT can be learned quickly and practiced in one’s daily life between sessions to help facilitate emotional healing.
