Wow! What an experience we have had and are in the middle of... These past day(s), week(s) have been a slew of changes in experiences and  emotions.  I don’t know how you realized but I popped into the store for milk and shelves were bare and lines were around the isles at noon on a Friday.  Although I rarely listen to news, I couldn’t stop!  I stocked up on some supplies, ordered more and found myself shopping for gloves, masks and social distancing from loved ones within days of hugging my Uber driver who was scared for his family in China.  We are all experiencing heightened anxiety - simply from all the changes.  Some are off work indefinitely, others working from home as well as being our own chid care and home schooling.  Many of our incomes/savings/investments are uncertain.  Many are confused, fearful, worried, overwhelmed, angry, scared, anxious and so much more.  We worry for our family, loved ones, ourselves.  We are lonely in isolation, bored, concerned about everything being so different so quickly.  Our body’s feel different, minds are flooded and it’s difficult to think straight or follow through on things.  We are explosive, emotional, quiet or acting out.  Plans were canceled abruptly.  Relationships changed overnight. Seniors feel robbed of prom, graduation, their last semester with friends.  Some of us are numb others feel every little thing.  We are questioning spiritual beliefs.  As human beings, we experience a rainbow of emotions. They are all normal and valid.  There is No Wrong emotion. However if you feel like your body is controlling your mind, you may want someone to help sort things out.  Feel free to watch the videos below, read the stress tips and other resources.  I hope they are all you need during this difficult time.  More will be posted regularly while we all navigate this new terrain. But if you need more help - a personal confidential expert to help you process all of this, Please Call. We offer a FREE 15 minute phone consultation.  We are here to help Anyone Nationally or Internationally with Hypnotherapy and Anyone in California Psychologically.  Please see below for what qualifies as appropriate for Hypnotherapy.

  • Differences between Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy:

Hypnotherapy is not Psychotherapy, Psychological counseling, or any type of therapy nor is it a substitute for these services.
Psychotherapy is a health care service.  Its primary focus is to identify, diagnose, and treat nervous and mental disorders that fit the criteria of the DSMV. The goals include alleviating symptoms, understanding the underlying personality dynamics, which create symptoms, changing the dysfunctional behaviors, which are the result of these disorders, and helping patients to cope with their psychological problems. Psychotherapy is usually reimbursable through health insurance policies (while hypnotherapy is not for most insurances).
Psychotherapy patients are often emotionally vulnerable. This vulnerability is increased by the expectation that they will discuss very intimate personal information and will expose feelings about themselves that they are understandably sensitive about. The past life experiences of psychotherapy patients have often made trust difficult to achieve. These factors for fiduciary responsibility are to protect the safety of their clients. The hypnotherapy relationship is designed to avoid this power differential, allowing the client to dictate where they want to empower themselves and allow their conscious mind to communicate with the subconscious so that they can work together to accomplish what the client wants.

In the event that you feel the need for professional counseling or therapy, it is your responsibility to seek a licensed professional who can provide these services. If I believe that such services will be valuable to you, I will recommend them. If you are in the state of California, we can create a new contract and continue with Psychotherapy services.

  • Therapy Doesn't Include Sex

Professional Therapy Never Includes Sex” Brochure For LEPs: LEPs are now included in the list of professionals who must provide the “Professional Therapy Never Includes Sex” brochure to clients who have indicated sexual behavior or sexual contact with a previous therapist.

Previously, LEPs were the only Board licensees that did not have this requirement.
